Editorial assessment of the retailer-listed configuration, not a hands-on review or performance benchmark. Source: ORIGIN PC’s direct outlet listing. NVIDIA lists 16GB GDDR7 for the RTX 5080 Laptop GPU. The current EON16-X V2 advertises up to 175W and a 300Hz display; this outlet listing says 240Hz, so those newer-family specifications are not assigned to this unit. Confirm GPU power, display panel/resolution, storage and upgrade options before purchase.
Strengths
- RTX 5080 Laptop graphics paired with the listed Ultra 9 275HX processor
- 32GB RAM and 2TB storage in the advertised configuration
- QHD+ 240Hz display listed by the retailer
- $1,000 below the separately listed $3,399 EON 18-X offer, with twice its advertised storage capacity
The Catch
- Refurbished: battery health, cosmetic grade and exact-unit warranty coverage need confirmation
- GPU power matters: the 140W figure is owner-reported, not independently confirmed for this outlet unit; do not assume the current 175W V2 specification applies
- General return terms include a 15% restocking fee; at this price that would be $359.85 if applied, before shipping
- No claim that this is the cheapest RTX 5080 laptop available; compare current new alternatives and their warranty terms
Who should consider it
High-end gamers or creators who want the advertised RTX 5080, 32GB RAM and 2TB configuration and are comfortable confirming refurbished coverage and return costs before buying.
Who should skip it
Buyers who require new condition, a verified OLED panel, a confirmed maximum-power GPU, or an easy return without a possible restocking fee.
Refurbished warranty and returns
One-year refurbished-laptop warranty, confirmed by Kristofer from his purchase experience with ORIGIN PC. The exact outlet unit’s written warranty coverage was not independently available in its product-detail view; confirm parts, labor, battery and shipping coverage before purchase. Lifetime support is not a lifetime parts warranty.
ORIGIN PC’s general terms describe a 30-day return period with a 15% restocking fee and nonrefundable shipping/handling. Confirm the terms applicable to this refurbished unit before ordering. Cosmetic grade, battery health and refurbishment checklist were not specified in the listing we could verify.
